What are listing slots?

A listing slot represents one unit of concurrent publishing capacity: how many listings you can have published on Kaarakauppa at the same time. Publishing a listing consumes one slot; parking a listing, marking it sold, or deleting it releases the slot immediately for reuse. Re-activating a parked listing consumes a slot again.

Why do listing slots matter?

Slots let you pay for the capacity you actually use, rather than a fixed fee regardless of activity. Without a free slot you can still create listings and save them as drafts — they just won't be visible to buyers until a slot frees up.

Private sellers

As a private seller you have a free tier of 3 concurrently published listings. When all three are in use, the publish action tells you No free listing slots — park, sell, or delete one of your published listings to free a slot.

Business accounts

A company's publishing capacity comes from its subscription. The subscription status determines whether the company can publish:

Status What it means
Free tier No purchased slots (0). You can create and save drafts, but publishing is blocked.
Active Paid subscription. You can publish listings up to your slot count.
Past due A payment is overdue, but your subscription is still in a grace period. Publishing continues for now.
Suspended Payment failed after the grace period. New listings cannot be published — already-published listings remain visible to buyers.

💡 Tip: When a subscription is suspended, already-published listings remain visible so that ongoing conversations with buyers are not disrupted.

How many slots do I need?

One slot supports one concurrently published listing. Your company can adjust its slot count through self-service on the Subscription page, up to a ceiling of 5,500 slots — even large slot counts are self-service. If you need custom partnership pricing, reach out to the sales team.

⚠️ Heads up: Reducing your slot count is scheduled to take effect at the next renewal, not immediately. If the new count is below your published-listing count, nothing is unpublished — but new publishes and re-activations are blocked until your usage fits the new capacity.

Who can manage slots?

Company slots are managed in the company menu under Subscription. Only users with the Admin or Owner role can adjust the slot count.
