Taking great listing photos

Taking great listing photos

Photos are a buyer's first impression of your vehicle — they decide whether the buyer clicks your listing or keeps scrolling. For the full listing creation process, see How to publish a listing.

Adding photos and the cover photo

Drag and drop images onto the upload area, or click to select files. You can add and remove photos after publishing too, up to 20 photos per listing.

One photo acts as the cover photo and appears in search results — it's often the only image a buyer sees before deciding to click. To change it, hover over any photo in the gallery and select Set as Cover.

💡 Tip: Choose the clearest front-angle shot that shows the whole vehicle as your cover photo.

Do this

  • Photograph the vehicle's four main angles: front-left, front-right, rear-left, and rear-right.
  • Shoot outdoors in daylight, ideally morning or late afternoon — it renders colour accurately and avoids distracting shadows.
  • Photograph the interior too: dashboard, front and rear seats, and the boot if it's a selling point. Open the windows before shooting the interior — it cuts down on reflections.
  • Photograph any damage or wear clearly. It saves you from unnecessary viewings and builds trust before the first message.

Avoid this

  • Dim interiors or garage shots without extra light — the result is a flat, colourless photo.
  • Your own shadow falling across the bodywork, or shooting straight into harsh midday sun.
  • Only one angle — buyers want to see the car from several sides before reaching out.

⚠️ Heads up: You can publish without photos, but listings without images get significantly fewer views and enquiries.
