Managing your listings
Keeping your listing up to date brings in more buyers — an outdated price or missing photos drives interested people away before they even contact you. The listings page is where you manage everything: edit, publish drafts, park a listing when you want a break, and mark it sold when the deal is done.
Finding your listings
- Log in to Kaarakauppa.
- Open the avatar menu and select
My listings. On a business account, selectCompany listingsunder the company menu.
The page has five status tabs:
- Published — listings that are visible to buyers in search.
- Drafts — listings you have started but not yet published.
- Parked — listings you have temporarily taken off the market. Parking frees the listing slot, and you can re-activate any time.
- Sold — listings you have marked as sold. These are no longer listed.
- Blocked — listings a Kaarakauppa moderator has blocked for a policy violation. A blocked listing is not visible to buyers or in search.
Listings from other sellers that you follow live on their own page — see How to save listings.
The actions below describe the My listings view. The business Company listings view works the same way, but also offers an Analytics action on parked, sold, and blocked listings.
Managing published listings
Each published listing row offers five actions.
Analytics — opens the listing's analytics view: total views, unique viewers, phone reveals, messages started, and saves, over a 7, 30, or 90-day window.
Edit — opens the listing's edit form. You can update the price, description, location, photos, and contact details. Changes take effect immediately after you click Save.
💡 Tip: Update the price or add new photos when a listing has been up for a while — fresh content catches the attention of new buyers. For advice on taking great photos, see Taking great listing photos.
Mark as sold — moves the listing to the Sold tab and removes it from search. Sold is final: a sold listing is view-only, so if the sale falls through, create a new listing.
Park — takes the listing off the market temporarily. A parked listing keeps all its details and photos, frees up its listing slot, and waits in the Parked tab until you re-activate it.
Delete — permanently deletes the listing. The confirmation says it plainly: This permanently deletes the listing. This cannot be undone.
⚠️ Heads up: Park and Delete are different things. If you want a break from selling — the car is at the shop, you're on holiday — park the listing and re-activate it later. Delete only when you never want this listing back.
Managing drafts
A draft is created when you start a listing but leave before publishing. Each draft offers three actions: Delete, Edit (returns you to the listing wizard to fill in missing details), and Publish (publishes the draft immediately, without going through the full wizard again).
⚠️ Heads up: Publishing requires a valid Finnish postal code. If the publish button returns an error, open the draft for editing and set the location in the Pricing step.
Managing parked and sold listings
A parked listing offers Re-activate, View Listing, and Delete. Re-activating puts the listing back into search — it needs a free listing slot, so if you're at your limit, park or delete another listing first.
A sold listing offers View only.
Managing blocked listings
Blocked means a Kaarakauppa moderator has removed the listing from view for a policy violation — it's not a state you can move a listing into yourself, and you cannot publish, park, re-activate, or delete a blocked listing on your own. Only we can lift a block.
A blocked listing offers only one action: Edit. It opens the listing's edit page, where you'll see the stated reason for the block and can fix the listing's content. The same page also includes an appeal form, so Edit doubles as the route to submitting your appeal.
⚠️ Heads up: You can send an appeal only once per block, so write it carefully before submitting.
What happens next?
Your published listing appears in search results right away. Buyers can contact you through a message or via the contact method you chose. You can return to the listings page at any time to check analytics, adjust details, park a listing, or mark it sold.
