Setting up your company homepage

The Company Homepage is a paid feature that gives your business a standalone branded website — visitors land directly at /home/{slug} and see only your brand and your vehicle inventory, without the marketplace navigation. For small dealerships it means online visibility without a separate hosting service.

Prerequisites

Editing the homepage requires the Admin or Owner role. If Homepage is missing from the sidebar, the feature is not yet enabled — go to Subscription and enable the Company Homepage add-on first. See Using the company dashboard for a walkthrough.

Editing your homepage

Sign in to your business account, click the orange Dashboard button in the top bar, and open Homepage in the sidebar (path /company/homepage). The Homepage Editor is divided into sections:

1. Theme & Colors

  • Theme — choose Modern (clean and professional: light backgrounds with a gradient banner overlay) or Bold (high contrast: dark backgrounds and a full-bleed banner with large text).
  • Primary color and Accent color — pick your brand colours. Leave a field empty to use the theme default.

2. Branding

This section is where you upload your homepage's main image — a wide banner at the top of the page, such as a photo of your showroom or vehicle fleet. Use a wide banner: about three times as wide as it is tall, at least 1500 px wide. Once you pick a file, a framing dialog opens so you can fit it to the banner shape; the framing is saved only when you save the whole form. There's no separate logo field on the homepage — your company name is shown styled to match the theme, next to the main image.

💡 Tip: Use a wide landscape photo for the main image so it looks good on both desktop and mobile.

3. Home Page Content

  • Main heading — a short headline, e.g. your company name or slogan.
  • Subheading — a short tagline shown under the heading.
  • Introduction title and Introduction text — a freeform welcome for visitors. Use it to tell them about your history, specialties, and how you serve customers.

💡 Tip: Lead your introduction with what a car buyer wants to know first: how long you have been in business, which makes and models you specialise in, and how customers can reach you. A strong introduction builds trust before a visitor clicks any listing.

4. About and Contact sections

  • About Section — an About text for your company story, plus toggles: Show About section, Show locations, and Show social links.
  • Contact Section — toggles for Show Contact section and Show opening hours. A location's address, phone number, and opening hours pull automatically from your location settings — there's no separate contact field on the homepage editor, so update them on the location itself.

⚠️ Heads up: The Show opening hours toggle is disabled if Show locations is off in the About section — opening hours come from your locations, so locations have to be shown first.

Saving, previewing, and publishing

  • Save stores your changes without making anything public.
  • Preview opens the page before publishing as a private preview — only your company's Admins and Owner can see it; everyone else gets a "not found" error.
  • Publish makes the page live. A confirmation dialog names the full address and states that nothing has happened yet: "Your homepage will be published at {address}. After that, anyone can open it." Only once you confirm does the page go live, and the Preview button turns into a plain link labeled View homepage.
  • Unpublish hides a published page — visitors can no longer open the address, but the content is kept and comes back as it was when you publish again.

⚠️ Heads up: Only Admin and Owner users see the Homepage section and can edit or publish. Staff members do not see it at all, even when the feature is enabled.

What happens next

Once published, your homepage is immediately reachable at kaarakauppa.fi/home/{slug}. It renders with your own branding — a small "Powered by Kaarakauppa" note appears in the footer — and visitors can browse your vehicle inventory directly on the page.

Keep your homepage up to date whenever your business details change — new opening hours, a new location, or a refreshed introduction all affect the impression you make on first-time visitors. Remember that your free public company profile is a separate page — see Using the company dashboard for the difference between the two.
