The search page is the fastest way to find the right vehicle — the right filters cut thousands of listings down to only the ones worth viewing.
Opening the search page
Open the Search dropdown in the top navigation and choose Filter search, or go directly to kaarakauppa.fi/search.
Search in your own words (front page)
The front page has a search box where you can describe the vehicle in your own words. For example:
- "Skoda Octavia newer than 2021"
- "Family car, automatic, AC"
- "Under 15000€ AWD blue"
The service converts your text to filters and takes you to the search page with those filters applied. If your text can't be interpreted, you'll be offered the filter-based search instead.
💡 Tip: This works best when you describe the key attributes — make, model, price range, or model year. The search text can be at most 200 characters.
Using the filter panel
If you prefer to set filters precisely, use the filter panel. On larger screens the panel sits in the left sidebar. On smaller screens, open it using the Filters button in the toolbar just below the navigation bar.
Available filters:

| Vehicle type and body style | Car, van, motorcycle … and body styles such as SUV or estate |
| Price | Minimum and maximum price |
| Condition | The vehicle's declared condition |
| Model year | A range of manufacturing years |
| Mileage | Upper limit or range of kilometres driven |
| Fuel type | Petrol, diesel, electric, hybrid, etc. |
| Transmission | Manual or automatic |
| Drive type | Front-, rear-, or all-wheel drive |
| Color | Exterior colour |
| Equipment | Individual features (every selected feature must be present) |
| Location | Postal code and search radius in kilometres |
| Road-legal only | Shows only vehicles that have passed inspection |
Filters apply immediately — no page reload needed.
💡 Tip: Enter your postal code and pick a radius to see nearby vehicles first and avoid unnecessarily long trips.
Removing a single filter
Active filters appear as small pills above the results. Click the × on a pill to remove that one filter. This lets you loosen one constraint at a time without resetting everything else.
Sorting results
Choose the order of results from the sort selector:
- Newest first — the default, shows the most recently added listings first
- Price: low to high / Price: high to low — ascending or descending by price
- Fewest kilometres — lowest mileage first
- Newest model year — latest model year first
- Most horsepower — highest engine power first
- Highest top speed — highest top speed first
⚠️ Heads up: If you open a shared search link that uses distance sorting, make sure a postal code is set — without one, the sort order may not work as expected.
Browsing results
Results are shown in a grid. Switch to list view using the view-toggle buttons in the toolbar. Click any listing card to open its full details.
Saving a search
Log in and click the Save this search button to receive notifications about new listings that match your current search. You can keep up to 10 active saved searches at the same time.
Once you find an interesting listing, open it and contact the seller directly from the listing page — see How to contact a seller. You can also save the listing and return to it later (see How to save listings), or get notified about new listings matching your search (see Setting up search watches).
